Through the form on this site. What helps: the thing that failed, a step-back shot of the room, the panel with its door open, and a close read of the label inside that door. What helps as much as any picture is a sentence about when — what was running, what had just been switched on, whether it has happened before, whether it comes back by itself.

Please do not remove a panel cover to photograph the inside. Nothing on the far side of that cover is needed to answer the question, and it is the one part of this that is genuinely dangerous.

What comes back is written, not a callback script: the likely causes in order, what a job of that kind involves, whether it is permitted work in your jurisdiction, and the cost range for that work in San Jose with an explanation of why the range is as wide as it is. Where the photos cannot settle it — anything intermittent, anything behind a wall — the answer says so and prices the diagnostic instead of the guess.

Nothing is booked and nothing is charged on the strength of a photograph. If the range works for you, the next step is scheduling and a firm price once someone has the cover off; if it does not, you have a written second opinion to hold the next quote against, which is worth having regardless.
