Send photos of the problem — get a realistic range
What to include
- The device, fixture or panel that is the subject.
- One step-back shot showing the room and its other outlets.
- The panel door open, plus the label inside it.
- Anything discolored, scorched, warm or noisy — from a safe distance.
- The make and amperage of whatever you are hoping to add, if this is a capacity question.
What comes back
A written range and a description of the work, usually with one question attached. If the photographs show something that should be switched off today, that comes first.
What we do not do
We do not sell or pass on what you send. There is no walk-in counter and no showroom to visit — this is a photo-first estimating service for San Jose and the towns around it, and the address on a business card would be furniture rather than information.
If it is an emergency
Smoke, heat inside a wall, a burning smell that does not stop when the circuit is off, or visible arcing: call 911. If the smell is gone with the breaker off but you want it looked at today, say so in the first line of the form — it changes the order things are read in.
